Recommended cables:

Maven II + Astral Acoustics Reference Silver: Neutral, transparent, and detailed. Reference Silver tightens up the lower end and enhances bass layering. It also improves mid-range clarity and adds sparkles to the lower treble. You can easily capture more details that were missed with the stock cable.

Maven II + Flash Acoustics Ultron: Dynamic, speedy, and engaging. Ultron gives the Maven II a very tight and dynamic bass, which is ideal for reproducing "machine gun" style double kick drums in rock and metal. The treble sparkles in the air, maximizing engagement. This combination turns the Maven II into an authentic Rock Star.

Maven II + Beat Audio Oslo: Stage Magician. Oslo extends Maven’s soundstage in all three dimensions, providing more precise layering and better separation. You’ll notice more air filling the space, making this combo capable of effortlessly reproducing even the busiest tracks.

Maven II + Astral Acoustics Mars: Lush, warm, smooth. Mars enhances the sub-bass for a more impactful sound. The midrange becomes lusher and warmer, with a gently polished upper midrange. Switching from the stock cable to Mars also expands the soundstage.

Maven II + Liquid Links Venom: Dense, tight, powerful. Venom gives the Maven II a “muscular” signature, with bass that is powerful, punchy, and controlled. The midrange and treble have noticeably increased note weight, with the edginess smoothed out.

Maven II + PW First Times: A Void Space. First Times offers the darkest background among the cables we tested for the Maven II. The background is so dark that I unconsciously held my breath to experience the details emerging in front of me. This combo also offers buttery smooth treble and an incredibly organic, musically balanced sound.

Maven II + Vortex Lavinia: Lavinia gives a more holographic soundstage to Maven II. In the meantime, you will observe an even cleaner bass separation with more precise layering. The upper-mid
and treble are also elevated compared to the stock cable, which adds a bit more engagement to the overall presentation.

Neutral-Warm Cables: Mars → Venom → FT

Detail-Oriented Neutral Cables: Ref Silver → Ultron → Oslo

👌 Quite perfect allrounder

To cut a long story short: the Maven II has become my most favourite IEM in the past few weeks. I just can't think of anything that could be significantly bettered. It seems to work with all kind of genres for me (and I listen to various of those, mostly Indie Rock, Electronic, Classical and Jazz).

The biggest strength of the Maven II imo is it's lack of faults or weaknesses: it has a deep reaching, very textured bass, well rounded, quite forward mids and crisp but non-fatiguing highs. It offers a comfortable fit, comes with a great stock cable almost perfectly matching the Mavens sound signature and feels sturdy.

Most outstanding though might be it's layering with masses of air and sparkle while still managing to sound coherent, natural and very musical.
All this adds up to the perfect allrounder in my gear park (which - for reference - includes Sennheiser IE900, IMR Enigma+, Penon Voltage among others).

As a first time customer (from overseas in the EU) I would also like to add that I can highly recommend to deal with musicteck as it was a pleasure to do so.

Maven II an elegant sound

I've been blown away by this set since I opened it. There is a grandeur here that you don't find in many iems at twice the cost. The sub and mid-bass are breathtaking while imaging and staging is holographic and feels like an enormous cathedral. I think the overall physicality and visceral qualities separate this IEM from everything I've heard in it's price range. I can't find fault with it.

Brave Unique Melody. Bravo!
