The improvement on listening to music on my phone is beyond my very high expectations. The sound quality is just so much better, it has a softness that is reminiscent of vinyl. At the time of buying, Shanling only allowed their own launcher, but I managed to install a different launcher, which has made all the difference. Google Play let's you install loads of streaming, and music players, and something for my audio books. This is a Brilliant Device, and I cannot recommend it highly enough the service I received from MusicTeck was first rate. It was delivered internationally really quickly too. Five stars all round.
Quality build, sounds wonderful, Comparing with Hidiz S9 pro is in different league. Very happy with the unit after one month. One con - drains iphone battery fast, I guess it needs juice to produce this quality of sound. Using with HD660s 4.4 balanced and Final audio B3 IEM takes away brightness of B3.
Love the MSE. It has a unique and fun tuning. It is not for everyone though. If you love an elevated bass, especially sub-bass, you will enjoy it. Definitely a keeper in my collection.
I find these very comfortable, I use the large silicone tips that came with.
The only other IEM’s I own are Kinera Nanna 2. I think both have good detail and a wide soundstage. The Szalayi emphasize bass more than the Kinera’s. Vocal’s are especially good with the Szalayi. I find myself tapping my toes and drumming my fingers listening to the Szalayi. Very pleased with the purchase. MusicTeck service was excellent.

The sound quality most certainly justifies $1500 IMHO. With a 1/3 of the price discounted, it was an absolute no-brainer for me.
It is now my daily driver and loving every minute of it. After multiple days of tip rolling, the comply foam tips in L size worked best for me to allow the BC driver work better with a tight seal, while smoothing out the treble with more pronounced bass.
I bought these used, but it's in immaculate condition with no signs of wear and tear at all, while the box came shrink wrapped!
