Diagram 2:The faceplates of the headphones are specially designed according to the structure of the bone conduction drivers. Bone conduction driver delivers signals by vibrating the faceplate. Then the signals are passed to the carbon fiber shell and finally delivered to your inner ear.
Diagram 3: The bone conduction drivers are made by metal vibration pieces that are covered by piezoelectric ceramics. The ceramic layers will bend the metal vibration pieces to make micro-vibrations according to the changes of input alternating voltage.

Great store, good communication, thank you.
After thinking my Fearless Audio S8Freedom would be my end game, thought I would research what others consider possible TOTL iem’s. Spent the last 6 months researching a select half dozen I would consider purchasing, reading everything I could find on them, discarding those that mor3 than likely would ultimately nor fit my sound preference, and finally came up with two I liked the best given all info found. Decided to take a chance on the UM MEST as bone conduction intrigued me. I am so happy I did and am totally satisfied. No regrets on purchasing others on my list quite a bit more expensive. Blown away by the details and imaging particularly. Never really liked an IEM with a dynamic driver, or just got used to all BA driver iem’s, but am loving the bass on my MEST. Mids are more pronounced than anything I’ve heard before. And especially for my ears it seems, no issues with higher frequencies. Need to do more research on this bone conduction. They do fit my ears, which are somewhat on the smaller side, rather well. Have found, as others, that tip preference is very important to a sound one prefers, but no problem really. Will be thoroughly enjoying going through my entire music library once again, but I believe my search for an end game IEM is over, finally.
I had decided to purchase the MEST instead of the Sony IER-Z1R. Both had fantastic reviews but the MEST was quite a bit less expensive. All the reviews I saw about the MEST were spot on. Not to nitpick, but this IEM sounds very different when it comes to tips- the Comply foam tips I use significantly sound better than other silicon tips. So if you just don't like foam tips for whatever reason, you may want to listen to a pair first or risk being disappointed later. Not sure if the tip issue exists with custom pairs, but with my universal pair the differences are large. I don't now how much (if any) break-in is needed with the MEST, but once I got the tips figured out the first day, I have been in love with these ever since.
Incredible low frequencies that can be very deep and yet remain very punchy, fast, and never fit into the middle.
- The mids and highs are very detailed! And with this detail, they give an unrealistically tasty sound. MEST gives me a lot of emotions. The leg is constantly serving the rhythm))
The high frequencies are very long and crystal.
- 3D scene like in Solaris. But in Solaris it is wider.
- Excellent stock cable. I seriously think that you can not change it to another. It's soft, comfortable, and good sound.
I am currently running the MEST on the ifi zen stack and the ES100 MK2. These are a very bright pair of iems, but never sibilant or piercing unless the volume is high. My ears are extremely sensitive to treble, but these iems are not very fatiguing. The bass is plentiful with the MEST, but requires a good fit. I am currently using the Final audio e series eartips for the MEST and they are currently working very nicely. Unfortunately, as many reviews have already indicated, the stock tips don't fit too well with the shape of the universal model. This is my first "endgame" iem and has a very unique character. The W shape gives these iems a particularly vibrant sound signature that can be described as very exciting. The excellent customer service was flawless as usual, thanks to Andrew.
