I really enjoy this player. Compared to the prior R3s this player allows multi playlists. It is more solid, a bit larger and it has rounded corners. It is a solid performer. I broadcast Bluetooth to an old-fashioned stereo. The Bluetooth is outstanding, able to transmit HQ LDAC throughout my entire apartment, There is more punch to the R3II. More tight bass, more-extended treble. The tracks stick sometimes and I do not recommend the optional Polyurethane (PU leather!) case as the top of the player sticks out. The supplied plastic case is a better bet. I had to use a Sharpie pen to widen the volume hole in the case because it was interfering with the play in the volume button. I was able to stretch it and it works/ looks fine.
I got rid of a lot of players but most of what I kept are HIBy players. I think they are a lot fun. The R3II sounds great, looks great, and works great.
