What a welcoming sound. timber, detail, speed and space are the highlights of this great cable. Comparing it against the FT, 1950 Shield, OTL and SOA using Trailli, Jewel and Raven. While it is not as bombastic as the PWA cables , it excels at bass definiton and quality. It goes as deep or deeper than any of the others but goes for details and correct timber instead of pounding levels of bass. Mids are exceptional and emotional without adding weight , they just simply pull all the detail and emotion out of the human voice and instrument have the real life sound, wether the gently plucking of a guitar string or the burn of a raging trumpet. The top end is extended well beyong my hearing and never fatiguing. Stage and separation are exceptional , each instrument or voice in a concrete location and with room to breathe and not step on the other instruments.
The only thing lacking here is comfort. This is a thick cable that is not as flexible at the rest and can be a burden to bend behind the ear. I can personally sacrifice a little for that great sound.
The treble is toned down from the MKII, the bass is perfect. Separation and imaging is perfect. Paired with Effect Audio Eros S its not even normal how good these are.
Thank You Andrew. We will meet at next CANJAM NYC.
What an amazing company musicteck is!

I doubt I would need another IEM after hearing the Fei Wan. I listen to hip-hop, Jazz, R&B, Alternative, and electronic mostly and these near perfect IEMs perform in every genre with beautiful depth without sacrificing vocal clarity. If you have the money to spend and you have an ear for detail, then these are for you.
Fantastic Soundstage & Imaging
Superb instrument separation
Best bass in this price range
Scale well with amps/DACs
Excellent extension
Non-fatiguing yet detailed treble
Good comfort with stock tips
Wonderful stock cable
Great stock tips
Excellent clarity
Very fun to listen to
Carbon fiber shell
Bone conduction system is not a gimmick
End game W sound signature. Bass slams hard, vocals are clear and forward, and treble is detailed without any fatigue. Stage is 3d. Great all around set that plays well with any genre
Lee Kwan-min is a genius. All sounds, low and high, are beautiful and clear. The melody jumps uniquely in a wide space. You can end your earphone collection for a relatively small amount of money. Connect with TheOneSound's Fantasia 10 cable for wider staging and comfortable sound.
Absolutely superb customer experience from Andrew and MusicTeck.
Would use them again in a heartbeat.
Breathtaking bass but also clean trebles and mids. In my opinion the best IEM for listening to electronic/house music. Pay attention: these'r addictive!!!
I think AK AURA's stock cable NOVA is also a good cable, but I think this CHIRON NOVA is a cable that far surpasses it. To be more specific, I feel that all bands have been upgraded one step further and the sound has become thicker. It can be said that the sound becomes more profound, and the texture and volume of the bass is especially wonderful. Please try combining it with AK AURA. I think it will bring out the maximum potential of AK AURA.
Products is great, all as expected as I heard them before, but the Music Tec service was extraordinary, ordered 28.03.2024. and received 01.03.2024. Since the IEM went from NJ to Croatia via customs this was a world record delivery speed at a very reasonable price :-) ! Highly recommend.
Reached out to Musicteck regarding connectivity issues with the shanling et3. Got a quick reply and support that helped to resolve my issues. Satisfied and very impressed with the overall design and performance of the et3 transport. Updating to 5 stars from 4.

The PWAudio Moloch sounds noticeably better than the stock cable on my Sennheiser IE600. I didn’t realize how much the stock cable was holding them back. Beyond the improved sound, the Moloch looks and feels great.
Erebus is a way-under-the-radar (in the West at least) TOTL IEM, with an overall performance paralleling or besting many other legends such as Traillii and more. Here are some of my impressions about this fantastic IEM, excerpted from my Head-Fi review of Erebus:
It has a premium build. The Erebus shell feels like a small piece of polished marble. The plate design is not super attractive, and I never would have chosen this on looks alone. Erebus has a more comfortable than any other IEM I have tried except Fei Wan. I could have Erebus in all day and barely notice.
Erebus has a relatively relaxed sound, but it has some verve, scales extremely well, works with just about any type of music, for any mood I brought to it.
It features a largely uncolored, very slightly warm, reference-ish sound (its bass strength and upper mids energy keep it from being what I imagine truly reference style to be).
At first it does not sound really special, rather just very good, but with more extended listening, the full scope of how impressive and top-shelf Erebus is becomes clear.
Erebus features a balanced W shaped sound. All parts of the FR are distinct and still coherent, unlike some other W shaped IEMs like Rn6 that to me sounded slightly less coherent.
Erebus’ sub bass has punch and snap, and is articulate and tactile.
There is a medium amount of mid bass that comes up to lower mids just enough to bring them a bit forward and add depth and a little warmth. No muddiness across the spectrum.
Erebus’ mids provide just the right amount for vocals and acoustic instruments to assert their space well and not be left behind, as can be the case with Loki in particular. Erebus’ mids are neutral-ish but still have excellent texture. To go beyond the set of four in these impressions, and going from memory, I find Erebus' mids not to be as warm and romantic as Trailli's. I find its mids however to be as detailed and similar-charactered as Mentor's.
The upper mids can be energetic at times, though not peaky and generally not fatiguing. This quality lends urgency to many vocals, which 90% of the time is welcome. Still, I would prefer it was dialed down. At points the danger zone is approached, but never fully entered into thankfully.
Erebus has fantastic treble, not dry but rather neutral to slightly sweet, loads of air with just the right sparkle, softened crispness, medium extension, zero sibilance, not at all fatiguing. Very close to Annihilator 23’s class-leading treble, I would say 95% of it, just lacking a very slight bit of the superior transient snap that Anni possesses.
Erebus provides a largely neutral sound, slightly warm with minimal color. It presents music how was intended perhaps (as overused an expression as that is).
Superb technicals, right up there with the very best as an entire presentation.
Excellent layering and separation of instruments, better than the other three, in spite of their excellence. Superior imaging as well.
Compares to other staging class leaders like Fei Wan, Traillii, and Mentor, which has massive 360 holographic staging, more than Erebus.
Dynamics are solid but Fei Wan is a dynamics monster, and Erebus isn't quite at that level. It is on par with Anni and Loki's dynamics performance.
Excellent detailed transients, particularly acoustic and brass instruments. Overall top-shelf resolution, as well as speed and dynamics.
Maybe the best part of Erebus’ performance is with vocal-focused music. Up and down vocal ranges, it scales so well, so many Wow moments. All across the vocal spectrum, I hear excellence of pacing, timbre, intonation, detail.
Best music genres for Erebus: All of them! (or at least all the genres I listen to). Jazz and bass vocal sound superb. Classic rock, modern rock, pop, dance pop: all excellent. I suspect classical would sound terrific, though I don’t listen to it. Live music sounds fantastic, spacious, holographic, dynamic.
Erebus is a bit of a slow burn as far as recognizing its amazing qualities. After a handful of listening sessions of "this is good but not great" and allowing Erebus to burn in, it became very evident what a special IEM this is. Erebus rewards patience, but not too much is required.
I can find only a few flaws for my preferences. One would be the plate design, not a big deal for me but still it is not attractive. The lack of recessed 2-pin connector ports is not great. It is expensive at $4700US retail. The other nitpick is the energy in the upper mids, which if they were slightly reduced would make this the IEM I could quit the hobby with. Even still, it very well could be if that sad day were ever to come.
Hopefully more people will get to hear Erebus. It is first-rate and should be in the conversation when we all debate which are the TOTL of TOTLs in the IEM world.
This is the VE sound I've been waiting for. It plays a deeper bass than the VE8 and a more pleasant treble. I'm looking forward to listening to music even more now.
Much better sound tan Audiolab 6000. Don’t use the WiFi and other features - just playing CDs but I do use the i2 s out to my Denafrips Pontus DAC - very pleasing . Track display could be a bit larger. Highly recommended overall!
If your a computer tech it's probably great. If not, keep on walkin.
Handily beat my Audiolab 6000. Love the i2s output. Solid bass, instrument separation
Also fast delivery from Musicteck. Highly recommended!
I have been an audio junkie for as long as I can remember. I have watched components get smaller and simply better when it comes to sound reproduction.
I had read about the RU6 and almost bought it but then I read the RU7 was coming so I waited as I read the RU6 just sucked battery power like crazy.
I have a plethora of desktop and Bluetooth dongles but most of them are what you find on Amazon and work pretty well for what I need them to do.
I decided to "upgrade" to the RU7 so I can use it with my PC and my phone plus, I wanted a bit of a "sound upgrade" on my phone. I seem to have become a bit more discerning (spoiled) when it comes to sound reproduction since my desktop DAC/AMPs are pretty decent. I wanted something portable, sounded really good, and just easier to move around.
The RU7 sound is just crazy good for how small it is. I can plug it into my phone then my PC/Laptop and so forth. The sound is just amazing for the size. It rivals my desktop DAC/AMPs for under 500.00. No joke. What I have been noticing is I am using this little guy more as a desktop replacement. It's just too convenient. I put on a pair of IEMs (or headphones) and just listen to my music and of course, Teams calls if it's on my work laptop. If I need to move it to another system, or my phone, I simply unplug it from one and plug it into the other.
From a sound perspective, it's just really good. The bass, mids, and treble are all done very well for something that fits into your hand. Like, surprisingly good. I love the screen. It has balanced and 3.5. It has drivers for my laptops and desktops and it didn't break the bank.
Some of you might be wondering about the battery draw and I was concerned about that as well. It does draw power from the device. My laptops are almost always plugged in but my phone is not. I have a newer phone and I had it running last week for about 2 hours off my phone, plugged into the balanced port. I was streaming music and noticed, after about 2 hours, that my phone was down 13% from a full charge. So, yeah...something to pay attention to. If you are playing music "locally" from your device you might get less of a draw from the battery.
Open Box. I bought the open box version from Music Teck and as always it shipped fast and looked good as new when I got it. Andrew and his team always answer any questions I have and do a great job when it comes to support. I wish I could afford some of the higher-end stuff from Music Teck but, when I have the opportunity (and the money) I head to Music Teck first. Just a great company to buy from.
Overall, the RU7 was what I was looking for. I have a terrific DAC/AMP that's portable, sounds fantastic, and can be moved around my devices with no issues at all. With how good these dongles are becoming, I wonder just how good the next generation of dongles will be. Do they really replace these large desktops setups? Guess we're all about to find out. For now, I'm just going to enjoy the RU7. What a great dongle.
Impressed with the basic functionality of the et3 cd transport. my cd's never sounded better Also, appreciate the option of usb output. Currently connected to my Q Acoustics M20 powered speakers via usb. Very nice. Remote works very well. Only problem is the inability to connect to WiFi. Have been working with Musicteck on this. I feel bad to have to deduct one start on the rating because of this issue. Hopefully it can be resolved.
I’m ultimately very happy with the FAudio Mezzo after initial frustration trying to obtain a good seal without discomfort. This model is large on the ear, and highly tip dependent, so users should come prepared with a number of tip options or budget for aftermarket options.
The Mezzo has an overall bass/mid bass centric sound that I found a little too much with tips like the Spinfit Dual Flange cp240, these however, provided excellent isolation. Having the ability to increase the mids and highs via switches to balance out the bass is a real benefit of this design. Unexpectedly, I get a more tonally balanced sound using spherical shaped foam tips. Your mileage may vary.
Users should note that FAudio’s documentation has the switch designations reversed. Switch 1 is treble, 2 is mids, and 3 is the bass setting.
Build quality is excellent all around including the supplied cable and tank-like storage case.
If your listening preferences lean towards the lower frequencies and a warm/full sound with nice high end extension, this limited edition is worth a look.
