Amazing set if you like thunderous bass.

They quickly grew to become my favourite set, replacing in my heart the UM MEST MKII and Thieaudio Monarch MKIII.
I pair them with the iBasso DX340/AMP16 in AB Mode.
The sound...
I find the A&O Omega to be a layed back and relaxed set in the mids and highs, but powerful and very well controlled in the mid bass and sub bass.
The Omega brings up the kick drum and bass guitar in the mix in a way I haven't heard before. Even with all the switches off, I can actually feel the bass slam right between the eyes, the dynamic is incredible. The sub bass extends very deep and the rumble, when present, gives you that nausea feeling you get in the club when you're too close to the subwoofer. What makes these IEMs special is the way the bass is handled so it doesn't fill all the spaces between instruments to become a continuous hum, you can still very well follow the drum kit beats or the bass line without missing any hit or note.
The mids are good, slightly darker, the rhythm guitars sound full and weighty, a bit down tuned.
Voices are clear, with a natural tonality and realistic timbre, thought sometimes they may seem a bit grainy.
The highs are very well extended and detailed, but not too energetic, you can listen for hours without getting tired or annoyed.
Imaging is also very good, they are a bit holographic, I can hear the sound coming from the front or behind and whether it originates above or below. Because the bass is so emphasized, sometimes, the singer seems to be placed behind the drum kit.
Soundstage is decent, not very wide, but wide enough to give you some breathing room.
The switches...
the bass one has only two positions: "oh my god" and "holly @#_& !!!"
the middle one elevates the mids area while lowering a bit the mid and sub bass
the treble one ...I didn't hear much difference
I usually keep them DDD

With medium tips (I tried Eletech Baroque or TRI Clarion) they fit me perfectly.
I like the cable they came with (the purple Astral Acoustic), it stays coiled when needed and straight when wearing, it doesn't have much retention and no microphonics. The case I believe is made of real leather as it smells like new sneakers.

Overall, I very much enjoy the Omega and I think is a very good set offering a fair price for the experience it provides.

PS: I want to thank Leo, Tone Deaf Monk and Jonathan from Enigma Fotos Reviews for recommending them to me.
