HiBy R4 - 4-Way HiFI Android DAP

The HiBy R4 is a well-made DAP with great features at an affordable price. The sound quality is great; you can improve it with the EQ settings. Certain plugins can help you find the best sound possible with this device.
Upon ordering the black version of the HiBy R4 for my birthday, I was pleasantly surprised by the swift shipping, despite our location in Austin, Texas. The service from MusicTeck was truly exceptional, instilling a strong sense of confidence in my purchase.
This is my second DAP device, with the first being a Sony NW-A306 Walkman. While the Walkman is a good player, I've decided to keep it as a backup. The HiBy R4, on the other hand, offers a wealth of software options and a robust music file scan function. This function allows you to scan the entire storage at once or specific folders when adding new music, ensuring a secure and organized music library.
You can add up to 2TB of micro SD card. I added a SanDisk 512 GB card. I copied the music from my Walkman to the new card and then scanned the music on it. The files were recognized by the HiBy with no problems. The only hiccup initially was that not all the album cover art was recognized. After some research, I found that you can fix this by a) making sure you have the cover art in jpg or png format inside the album folder and b) the file name of the art file is “cover.jpg” or “cover.png.” This will allow the HiBy player to display the cover art perfectly for your music.
If you want to get into the DAP hobby, this is a great beginner DAP. The price is great for all the features it has. The build is premium, and it comes in four anime robot/cyberpunk styles. Do yourself a favor and get it!
The HiBy R4 is an outstanding Android mini-DAP with fantastic features for an amazing price. The tonality is natural and neutral, details is more than adequate, soundstage is a little narrow and the power output is really good. It drove all my gear including Focal Radiance very well.

True to its name, Reference Silver provides a balanced, reference-type silver sound without sounding dry or strident. I found it to tighten the bass and add punchiness, and extend beautifully into the highs, providing a pleasant airiness. Vocals are pushed a touch forward and the staging is very wide and deep. Reference Silver is beautifully constructed with robust titanium hardware. Highly recommended!
I've had a pair of JHAudio JH13V2PRO for about 6 years now and it was time for an upgrade. Technically has really progressed in the IEM space in that time. The Mest MKII is better in literally every way. Thankfully UM still offers a custom shell service. I'll definitely have this done due to my tiny ears.
Continuing my Cayin journey has been a lot of fun. Having really enjoyed the C9 and N7 combo, I decided to try this tube amp for desktop listening into my Meze Empyrean. I can line out from my N7 or use the N7 as a transport to my Emm labs dac. Both sound great.
The HA-6a had been nothing short of a musical revelation. The mid range and voices are haunting phantoms, the layering and soundstage is deep and musical, and when called upon the music can slam. This has converted me to tubes as they can produce a lifelike sound that is beautiful and emotional.
I also really appreciate the tube configuration and ease of tube rolling. I’ve already tried the Mullard reissue 12au7 with the GL KT88 and the sound is fabulous. This is the tip of the ice berg in terms of customizing the sound.

I'm very satisfied with this item. The sound is exactly the same as described. Amazing energy makes a dynamics and sound stage.
It is also not muddy and masked. Wonderful experience.
