The moment I used the 4.4mm cable with the Shanling UP6, the Omega became a bombastic all-rounder for my library. I personally prefer the 111 configuration with the switches, but it's great to have so much control over how the lows, mids, and highs sound. Bass guitar rumbles, slaps, and snaps with a potent yet well-behaved authority. Kickdrums and lower guitar/vocal tones reverberate with just enough warmth yet separation to get the job done for busy or simple arrangements. Because the UP6 is a tad warmer and thicker sounding, the mids don't quite "pop" the way they would on a more clinical kind of source, but they're still great and well-defined here. Vocals and lead instruments dance around each other with good layering and a slightly engaging coloration. The highs remain crispy and tactile but never overcooked, so cymbals, strings, and background elements shine through fine enough. This is a set that needs more juice than what the btr5 or Qudelix can offer, but it's still awesome.

The omega is truly a flagship, totl iem. Warm, bassy goodness, but doesn’t sacrifice mids or treble. Resolution is top tier with great detail retrieval as well. These are so fun! Omega is more musical than analytical, but keeps up in all areas. I really can not find any faults. Beautiful shells and cable to match. Highly rec’d
