CanJam NYC 2026 — MusicTeck Preview
It's That Time Again
The cases are packed. Flights are booked. We're heading to CanJam NYC 2026 — and this year, it feels different.
Summit-fi is at an inflection point. The brands we're bringing to New York aren't just showing products — they're making statements. Some are pushing technical limits. Others are showing a new kind of maturity. What you'll find on our table reflects both.
At the Very Top
Traillii Ultra is ready for serious listening. Ultra isn't about reinventing a legend — it's about revolution. Deeper staging, more holographic layering, and a composure that feels almost effortless. It doesn't chase attention. It commands it.
Right beside it, PMG APX ME marks a real evolution for the brand. Where earlier models leaned bold and aggressive, APX ME is controlled, balanced, and universally listenable — without giving up an ounce of resolution. This is PMG showing restraint. And that restraint works beautifully in its favor.
After years of anticipation, MA Audio will finally unveil the global debut of the "INFINITUM" Beryllium Planar Magnetic Series (Including INFINITUM Headphones and ETERNITUM IEM system) at CanJam NYC 2026 — featuring the world's first beryllium diaphragm planar magnetic driver. A new era for planar magnetics starts here.
From Unique Melody, Fortune arrives with serious authority. Dense note weight, commanding scale, and a presentation that feels cinematic rather than analytical — flagship sound with real emotional gravity.
For those who prioritize ultimate clarity, Umbral takes a different path entirely. Extra detailed and revealing, with a brighter tilt — yet impressively non-fatiguing. It uncovers layers in recordings without ever crossing into glare. Transparency done right.
We'll also have the Aroma Core with its in-line Amp White Tiger, FlipEars's latest flagship Arion with its authoritative DD+BCD bass, and Rhapsodio's Analog — a warm, cozy treat for a freezing winter.
Last but not least, the "Ampless Fugaku" (code BEP-001) prototype will be on display at CanJam. Featuring a 2DD, 5BA, 2EST, 5-way passive crossover configuration, it's waiting for you to experience firsthand.
Three More Flagships Worth Getting Excited About
QDC Crave embodies precision and discipline. Fast transients, clean extension, polished control — technical without ever feeling sterile. A focused, refined expression of everything QDC does well.
BGVP Wukong is a wildcard. Complex driver integration, bold energy, and resolution that surprises even seasoned listeners. Dynamic and engaging, yet remarkably cohesive where it counts.
Palavox Dark Knight doesn't hold back. Twelve drivers across four crossover paths — Sonion, Knowles, and micro planars all in play. The result is dense and layered, yet composed where it matters. A flagship that earns its ambition.
Closer to Home
Pentara is back in NYC — years of collaborative tuning have shaped it into something layered and cohesive, built for long listening sessions rather than quick impressions. Alpha Omega Fulgrim will also be there: explosive when the music demands it, refined when it doesn't, scaling beautifully with thoughtful pairing.
For exclusive listening sessions, QDC King and Quill Acoustics Satin will both be on the table. King remains one of the most refined executions of the QDC house sound — controlled power, seamless cohesion. Satin is our tuning philosophy distilled: density, balance, and musical intention over artificial flash.
Not Everything Lives at the Stratosphere
We're bringing more amazing offerings for everyone at the table than ever before. Quill Acoustics debuts their latest IEM, Karma — a collaboration with rising metal band P.H.0 and Grammy-winning production team Zampol Productions. It's a 6-driver, 5-way crossover, 4-way hybrid IEM built for metal and rock, all for under $1,000.
EarAcoustics will bring some of their latest releases to the show. We've been genuinely impressed by the price-to-performance ratio across their lineup — revealing and detailed at a level that consistently punches above its price class.
Moritz returns with the Aura — a delicate yet engaging tuning that makes it a natural specialist for piano, strings, and acoustics. At its price point, it's a rare gem.
This is also the first show since Hisenior joined the MusicTeck family. Their products struck us immediately with how balanced and musical they are. Hisenior has long proven they can make exceptional value products — and at this show, their Mega 7 will make that case all over again.
The Art of Connection
Cables will play their role too. Vast Audio and Nightcraft will be available to try — two of the most exciting additions to our cable collection in 2025. Vast Audio is known for bold, expansive cables like their Night King and Sauron that make meaningful improvements to soundstage and dynamics. Nightcraft offers a wide range of premium-built, rich-sounding cables at premium but reasonable prices. Nocturne, Spectre, and Vesper each deliver a distinctly unique sonic signature, and the build quality is nothing short of impressive.
Our longtime partner Eletech's ultra-flagship Elegy to Lucia deserves a special mention. Lucia is elegant, emotionally expressive, and unapologetically premium — in craftsmanship and in sound.
About DAPs
2026 is shaping up to be the year portable sources matter again — and we're bringing the proof.
Both EVO One Titanium and Copper will be on the table. Same architecture, two distinct personalities. Titanium opens up the stage. Copper leans into density and emotional weight. The difference isn't subtle — it's character at the source level.
HiBy RS8 II will be there. Cayin N8III will be there. The new "Big Three" will be in NYC, chasing the crown of Android DAPs.
Meanwhile, Lotoo has meaningfully evolved their sound signature with the new desktop DAC/AMP Gungnir — smoother, warmer, and thicker than anything they've done before. The 8.5W output (32Ω) is simply extraordinary, capable of driving even the most demanding headphones like Umbral and Susvara with ease.
See You There
As always, everything is here for real listening. No rush. No pressure.
New York isn't just another stop on the calendar. It's where the direction of the year starts to take shape — and we want to share that with you.
If you're coming, stop by. Let's talk tuning. Let's talk about synergy. Let's talk about what's next.
See you at CanJam NYC 2026.
