I also have mezzo and monarch mk3. mest is definetely on par with them, better in some areas, worst in some other. Brief comparison with monarch3, mest mk2 has wider soundstage, somewhat better seperation, the tone is a bit thicker on monarch that becomes better some songs causes problem with some other songs.
It's very easy to leave a review when the only thing you can find fault with is the heat and slightly old-fashioned UI.
The lows are very fast, punchy and at the same time weighty, 10/10. The mids are clean and transparent, no questions asked. The highs are a bit smoothed out, and this is perhaps the only thing that distinguishes it from its older brother Mjolnir in terms of presentation.
