Head-fi review: A very special King
This isn’t my first purchase from MusicTeck, and it’s one of my favorite places to shop for IEMs. Their selection is outstanding, and Andrew is always responsive, knowledgeable, and willing to help with any questions. Thank you, Andrew, and thank you, MusicTeck, for the excellent service!
I recently picked up the BGVP SOLOMON. It wasn’t an impulse purchase—I spent quite a bit of time reading and watching reviews, including the customer impressions here on MusicTeck. After spending some time with them, I can say that I completely agree with the positive feedback.
The SOLOMON is an impressive set of IEMs: highly detailed, technically capable, with excellent imaging and a spacious soundstage. The bass has great impact while remaining tight, controlled, and well-layered. There’s plenty of resolution across the frequency range, and the overall presentation feels refined and engaging.
I know they still need some time to fully settle in, but even straight out of the box they sound fantastic. I’m currently using Divinus Velvet Wide Bore ear tips, and for my ears this combination is simply perfect.
The BGVP SOLOMON is a gorgeous IEM with excellent build quality, premium presentation, a generous selection of accessories, and an exceptional sound that easily lives up to its reputation.
Highly recommended!
BGVP offers a truly flagship worthy IEM with their Solomon. This is truly a technical Marvel with great separation of instruments, incredible sound stage, and impactful, yet not overdone bass. Well not a basshead set, it does well enough here to carry any track, but where it excels is in the upper frequency ranges where it is incisive yet not sibilant. All in all it holds a musical signature, with slightly recessed, vocals, if I had to have one criticism. This one punches well above its price point and should be on your list for an endgame set.
Solomon strikes an amazing balance between detail and musicality. It allows you to delve deeper into every recording, but without being in any way dry, clinical, or analytic. They do not lose the forrest for the trees They do not SOUND detailed - they just are amazingly resolving and immersive. Little details about the background, acoustic space and playing details add to the realism and holographic presentation. You can hear the musicians and the spaces between them. Timbres are spot-on. They do not really highlight any specific frequency range, and challenge the best single (DD) driver iems for coherence and natural musical timbres.
I listen to metal, acoustic jazz, prog, funk and lots of instrumental and vocal stuff. Solomon does not make me chose a genre or a subset ofmy recordings - they just say "go ahead, hit 'play' and I'll take care of the rest."
I am driving them with my NiP N2, and they are a joy together. They are a magnificent Musicteck musical mating!
They make me very happy. Highly recommended!
It's like there's a warm electric haze infused with every note, especially Rock. Some say it's too much, but I think it's a perfect specialist IEM. Upper mids and above aren't super detailed or prevalent but that's more feature than flaw. Twilight isn't designed to do everything well (shout out to Dita Ventura... I love you), but it serves its purpose perfectly. And they're pretty comfortable, praise be.
Im not sure why these aren't sold out yet. They sound excellent. Seriously they sound just like megafest but with a good clean solid bass that doesnt over power everything else. Niche? Maybe. fatiguing? I can get two three hours at a time then need a break but super super enjoyable to listen to. Side note musictek customer service was great .
Meets sophistication and sound of my Luxman LX 590 axii (class A) from its headphone jack!
(Can’t think of a higher compliment than that, and it’s PORTABLE)
Couldn’t be happier with the phones or the service!
Best headphones I’ve owned. Sounds great on their own but tastes are varied so I do apply a slight boost in the lower frequencies.
Would heartily recommend the headphones and very fast shipping from Music Tec
Great set of iem with bass beautiful voices of artists and tone doen mids/Great separation soundstage and clarity .Only cons are the high price and no customisation
