Almost Great

A bold new styling direction, especially with the purple color. Great sound. Great screen. All the newest computer specs by DAP standards. But…

The buttons are awful. Each is a hair trigger. So easy to unintentionally push one just in picking up the player. And what were they thinking by making the Previous Track button on its own, but making the Play and Next Track buttons joined together as a rocker switch? That’s just incompetent and illogical design.

I also have the Hiby R6 III and those buttons and volume knob are perfect. The more deluxe unit takes a big step back in usability.

Also, the R6 pro II has needle sharp corners. Rounded corners and more usable buttons would make this a perfect DAP.

Excellent sounding full featured dap.

I haven’t had the opportunity to fully check out all the various features yet, but I’m typically a pretty basic user of DAP’s.
I am familiar with the Hiby RS6 and R6III as well, so I’m pretty confident the features are well implemented.
The sound reproduction on the R6Pro2 is excellent. Warmish, but no lack of detail and clarity. (Class A and Class AB amp selectable)
The control buttons are positioned centred between top and bottom on both sides.
I find I often accidentally trigger the functions when I pick up the dap.
And battery life isn’t terrible, but certainly could be better.
Overall another quality offering from Hiby.
